All products sold by Swiss-Tides are offered exclusively for research use only. Swiss-Tides ships only to addresses within the United States. Orders may be reviewed, limited, delayed, or refused at our sole discretion. Returns, refunds, and replacements are governed by our Refund Policy.
1. Definitions

- "You" means the individual or entity placing an order or otherwise using the Site.
2. Research Use Only
All Products and Product information provided by Swiss-Tides are offered solely for lawful laboratory research, forensic analysis, or other qualifying non-human and non-veterinary use. They are not medicines or drugs and are not approved to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
Products are not for human or animal use or consumption and are not intended for therapeutic, diagnostic, food, drug, medical-device, cosmetic, commercial, or recreational purposes. Swiss-Tides does not represent that any Product has been sterilized or tested for safety or efficacy for any prohibited use.
You are responsible for evaluating handling hazards, completing any additional research required for lawful use, and determining whether any Product is permitted for the intended research application under all applicable rules and restrictions.
3. Eligibility and Buyer Representations
You must be at least 21 years old to place an order. Products may be purchased and handled only by qualified, properly trained research or laboratory personnel.
By placing an order, you represent and warrant that:
- You understand the applicable laws, regulations, industrial hygiene practices, safety risks, storage requirements, and handling controls associated with the Products you purchase.
- The purchase supports legitimate research, forensic, or other qualifying non-human and non-veterinary activity.
- You will not use, resell, repackage, redistribute, or supply any Product for any purpose prohibited by Section 2 or by applicable law.
- You hold any authorization required under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, the Controlled Substances Act, or other applicable federal, state, or local law for the Products you purchase, or the Products as supplied to you are otherwise lawful in your circumstances.
- The information you provide at checkout, including age, shipping address, and any acknowledgments or attestations, is true and accurate.
Swiss-Tides may request verification, limit quantities, delay fulfillment, or refuse any order in our sole discretion.
4. Orders, Pricing, and Payment
Swiss-Tides may correct errors, inaccuracies, or omissions and may update Product information, pricing, or availability without notice. Prices are quoted in U.S. dollars. Applicable sales tax is calculated and added at checkout based on the shipping address. Prices are effective when an order is accepted by us, not when an order is submitted by you.
Credit terms remain in our sole discretion. Unless otherwise stated in writing, payment must be received before an order is accepted. We may use third-party payment processors and fraud-prevention services and may decline orders flagged by those services.
You are responsible for verifying that the items, quantities, and shipping details in your cart are correct before completing payment. Orders are considered final once payment has been processed and may not be cancelled.
5. Shipping
Swiss-Tides ships only to addresses within the United States. Orders to non-U.S. addresses or to known international forwarding services may be refused or cancelled at our discretion.
Shipments may be delayed or interdicted by carriers or regulators. You acknowledge that:
- Swiss-Tides does not guarantee delivery within any specific timeframe.
- You are solely responsible for any state or local restrictions that apply to the Products at your delivery location.
- Lost, damaged, or incorrect deliveries are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy.
6. Order Finality, Returns, and Replacements
All orders are final once payment has been processed. Cancellations, returns, and refunds are not available. Replacements may be available in limited circumstances as set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
If communications, conduct, or order patterns suggest intended misuse, prohibited resale, or violation of these Terms, we may refuse the sale, suspend or terminate your account, withhold shipment, and take additional enforcement steps consistent with these Terms and applicable law.
7. Product Use and Restrictions
No Product purchased from Swiss-Tides should be considered a food, drug, medical device, or cosmetic unless expressly stated otherwise in writing by Swiss-Tides. Under no circumstances should any Product be used for therapeutic, diagnostic, or recreational purposes, or for human consumption of any kind.
You expressly represent and warrant that any Product purchased from Swiss-Tides, and any material produced with it, will be tested, handled, used, manufactured, and marketed in strict compliance with applicable laws and regulations and will not be adulterated or misbranded.
Swiss-Tides assumes that customers placing orders already understand the Products being purchased and does not provide instructions or recommendations for any prohibited use.
8. Limitation of Liability and Warranty Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site, services, and Products are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Swiss-Tides disclaims all warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from or relating to the Site, the Products, or any transaction is limited to the purchase price paid in the applicable transaction. Consequential, incidental, special, indirect, exemplary, and punitive damages are disclaimed to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Swiss-Tides and its officers, employees, and agents from any claim, expense, loss, or liability arising out of:
- Your handling, possession, storage, transport, use, or disposal of any Product;
- Your breach of these Terms or of any representation or warranty made under them;
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation, including any food, drug, controlled substance, customs, or import law;
- Any third-party claim arising from your resale, redistribution, or supply of any Product.
10. Force Majeure
Swiss-Tides is not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including: pandemic or public health emergency; act of government or regulatory authority; carrier failure or delay; customs interdiction, seizure, or destruction of goods; payment processor termination or chargeback; supplier or manufacturer failure; cyberattack or service outage; and any other event outside our reasonable control.
11. Sanctions and Restricted Parties
Swiss-Tides will not knowingly supply Products to any person or entity subject to comprehensive sanctions administered by the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security, or any equivalent restricted-party list. By placing an order, you represent that you are not such a person or entity. Swiss-Tides may refuse, cancel, or hold any order based on screening against restricted-party lists.
12. Site Use and Intellectual Property
Use of the Site is governed by these Terms together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy incorporated by reference. You may not modify, distribute, reproduce, publish, license, transfer, sell, mirror, or otherwise exploit Site content without express written consent, except for limited personal, non-commercial use that preserves proprietary notices.
"Swiss-Tides," the text, graphics, photographs, trademarks, logos, artwork, and other materials displayed on the Site are owned, controlled, or licensed by Swiss-Tides and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Swiss-Tides may suspend, modify, or discontinue access to the Site at any time. The Site may be used only for lawful, permitted inquiries and transactions relating to Swiss-Tides Products and services.
13. Privacy and Communications
Swiss-Tides handles personal information in accordance with applicable U.S. federal and state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) where applicable. We collect information related to inquiries, orders, and account activity to operate the business, provide support, and maintain a secure customer experience. This includes names, email addresses, shipping and billing addresses, purchase records, attestation records, and related transaction details.
Swiss-Tides may contact you regarding orders, shipping, service notices, account matters, and relevant promotional communications, consistent with our Privacy Policy and the CAN-SPAM Act. By placing an order or submitting your information, you acknowledge that you may receive order confirmations, shipping confirmations, customer service communications, and marketing communications where permitted.

Comments, remarks, suggestions, ideas, and other non-private communications submitted through the Site may be used by Swiss-Tides on a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, non-exclusive basis to operate, improve, and promote the business.
14. Modification of Terms
Swiss-Tides may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on the Site with an updated effective date and, where reasonable, notified to active account holders by email. Modifications apply prospectively to orders placed after the effective date. Continued use of the Site or placement of new orders after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
15. Termination
Swiss-Tides may suspend or terminate your account or refuse service at any time, in our sole discretion, including where we suspect violation of these Terms, attempted misuse, payment fraud, prior chargebacks, or any other conduct we determine is inconsistent with these Terms or applicable law.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. The state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction to hear any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Site, or the Products.
If a dispute arises, the parties agree to attempt good-faith negotiations first.
Swiss-Tides and users of the Site are independent contractors. No agency, partnership, employment, or similar relationship is created by use of the Site or by these Terms.
17. Severability and Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, and any other policies incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Swiss-Tides relating to the Site and any purchases. If any provision is held invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
Failure by Swiss-Tides to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
18. Acknowledgment
By using this Site or placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions together with the Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, and any other policies published by Swiss-Tides.
